Second Offering of Second Saturday

The next offering and the final in our area for 2007 is this coming Saturday, 12/8.  Again, we are at the Cary Professional Center, 8136 Old Keene Mill Rd., Springfield, VA.  This is all about what women need to know concerning their divorces.  Five outstanding professionals from the mental, legal, and fiscal arenas will help answer your questions and provide insights into this opaque and potentially unfriendly process.  We look forward to seeing you there.  For more info, please phone 703.535.8280.

Second Saturday program successfully kicked-off

The first "Second Saturday:  What Women Need to Know About Divorce" was held on November 10 in Springfield.  Centrally located adjacent to the major highways in northern Virginia, the program started promptly at 8:30 am and finished early in the afternoon.  There was plenty of coffee and snacks for everyone involved.  Each expert presenter was on their mark in providing clear and succinct information.

Second Saturday Program

Starting this month, every second Saturday of every month we will host a seminar to make sure women have what they need to know about divorce.  A future program for men is in the works.  It will be titled "Third Thursdays:  What Men Need to Know About Divorce."

The Second Saturday program for women was started by Ginita Wall of San Diego, California.  I learned about this program while taking collaborative practice training in Virginia Beach, VA during November 2006.  Along the way the challenges including finding an affordable and centralized location.  Another challenge was finding experts willing to donate their time on Saturday mornings.  I had the pleasure of meeting Ginita Wall during a conference in June 2006 in Las Vegas.  She has graciously allowed people all over to use her program without any licensing fee.

Officially, this program is "Second Saturday:  What Women Need to Know About Divorce."  The agenda for the upcoming seminars is Download 2ndSat.pdf.  Registration begins at 8 am.  The seminar begins at 8:30 and continues until 1 pm.  Presenters include social workers and coaches, an attorney, and yours truly for financial matters.  The location is 8136 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield, VA.  Please RSVP to 703.535.8280.  The cost is $45 per person.  One of the great benefits of this program is the Q&A session during which each of the presenting experts will be available for specific questions from participants.
